I have a good gig doing chalk boards in Boise. The beer and liquor distributors pay me to show up at bars and restaurants and get there libation’s promotions in front of the public with my art. It’s a good job. I generally will do logo’s with the occasional beer glass and some words. “Drink More Wild Turkey” or “Have A Summer Red Hook” are the usual types of “art”.
Once a year, the Idaho Statesman puts on a Chalk Art Fest for the Fourth of July. I have been very fortunate to participate as a featured artist the last 2 year. It is really the only chance I get to do “my stuff” in chalk. I also get to spend the day with 5000 of my valley co-habitants and talk about what I do. Thanks to all the volunteers who help make the event possible and to the Statesman for doing the event. And thank you for featuring the work on the front cover of the Statesman
