Longview Museum of Fine Art

I am very happy to have showed at the Longview Museum of Fine Art in Longview, Texas with A.D. Maddox.  It was a great opening. Thank you so much to the museum, A.D., and all the great people who hosted in East Texas.  The show will run through June.

Idaho Icons

In preparation for a show in Longview, Texas, I thought it appropriate to bring three species describing my home.  Each holds a very unique narrative for how our fisheries function.  There are a myriad political discussions along with storied natural histories to narrate these images.  I will leave it to the viewer to see the […]

Tuna

The last year has been great for meeting new fishing friends all over the country. The exciting opportunity to show in Wellfleet Harbor, MA led me to do this tuna painting from one of the new owner’s photos.  In the interest of full disclosure, I have never caught a tuna, but hope to get to […]

Help Save the Wild Maddox

Josh Maddox, Ed Anderson Art

I’ve had the privilege of painting some outstanding portraits.  Most are done on commission or have a specific client in mine.  These are the Maddox brothers,  two fishy fellows painted for a portrait show at the Linen Building in 2013.  Surprisingly, the canvases went unsold.  They are each about 3×5 ft acrylic and ink. Unless […]

Captiva Island Yacht Club

I’m very excited to be opening on Captiva Island, Florida at the Captiva Island Yacht Club next week.  Most of the 10 pieces coming are originals and draw from subjects around the inland water-way.  The show will hang through February and all the pieces will be for sale.  The first offerings will be reserved for […]

Ending Duck Season

What a fun season.  This post is for all the great friends who helped me get out and explore new spots and techniques most guys do not employ… and we got good.  We got PB initiated and next year should be a riot.

Fish Sketches

After a long fall of wandering around in the woods, I am slowly getting back into studio mode.  With a handful of shows all over the country, I’ve been doing studies while watching  MacGuyver re-runs.  I’ll post progress as I move through the next months.

Atlantic Buck

“Atlantic Buck” has been placed at the international headquarters for Biomark in Boise, Idaho.  It can be viewed by appointment only. I’ve added the painting on my shopping page.  It is an original 4x7ft acrylic and ink on foam board.  It was originally done to be reproduced for fundraising for the Downeast Salmon Federation.  It […]
